Who You're Actually Hiring

I'm Chris Beechey. I've been running paid ads for 8+ years for clients across Australia. Google Ads is what I do, every day, Monday to Friday.

When you hire me, you hire me. Not a rotating team of junior account managers. Not a Trello board with 40 clients on it. Not a “senior strategist” you'll meet on the intro call and never speak to again.

I keep my roster small on purpose (usually around 7 active retainer clients) so every account gets real attention every week. If that means I turn work away, I turn work away.

Specialist vs. Agency

Here's what actually differs, based on 8+ years of watching clients move both directions.

What Clients Get

Case Study

Melbourne health clinic: 5× lead volume

A local health clinic came to me spending money on Google Ads with no clear return. After restructuring the account, tightening keywords, and rebuilding the landing pages, monthly lead volume grew 5× on roughly the same budget.

Client Testimonial
“Chris took over our Google Ads and just quietly made everything better. Straight-forward advice, no jargon, and I always get a clear answer when I ask a question. Easiest agency relationship we've had.”

If we both want to keep going, I audit your account: structure, tracking, ad copy, keywords, wasted spend. You get the report even if we don’t work together.

What People Ask Before Hiring Me

?

How many clients do you take on?

I cap the retainer roster at about 7 active clients. That’s how I keep quality high and stay responsive. If I’m full I’ll tell you honestly. I don’t squeeze people in.

?

What happens if you go on holiday or get sick?

Google Ads doesn’t need someone in the account seven days a week. Most day-to-day is automated bidding and monitoring. If I’m taking more than a few days off I let clients know in advance and everything is set up to keep running. I’ve never had a client’s account go sideways because of a holiday.

?

Can you handle $50k or $100k+ a month in spend?

Yes. My existing roster includes accounts at that spend level. Bigger spend means more of my time, and the fee scales with that, but the model doesn’t change: I still run the account personally.

?

Why hire a specialist instead of an agency?

If you’re spending $5k to $100k+ a month on Google Ads specifically, you generally get more attention, faster turnaround, and cleaner reporting from a specialist than from an agency where you’re one of 40 accounts on someone’s Trello board. Agencies are better if you need SEO + social + web + PR under one roof. I’m better if you need Google Ads done properly.

?

What if I want to walk away?

I ask for a 3-month commitment to start so I can gather enough data to know what is actually working. After that, give me a heads up and we stop. Month-to-month, no lock-in, no exit fees. You keep the account, the history, and everything I built inside it.

?

Do you sub-contract anything?

No. Every change in your account is made by me. If you email me, you’re emailing me. If we jump on a call, it’s me on the call.

?

Where are you based?

Melbourne. Everything runs remote for clients right across Australia, and I keep AEST business hours so you can always reach me during your working day.

?

What’s the minimum spend you work with?

I generally work with businesses spending $5,000+ a month on Google Ads. Below that, hands-on management usually doesn’t pay for itself. You’re better off with a one-off audit or the DIY route.
